PAHS Volleyball Practice

PAbout 35 athletes, but we will know for sure after the first week. Interest and commitment are different things.

Roosevelt is very convenient for me, but I'm feeling like the girls are really needing some Roughriders spirit. They miss school. PAHS is preferred. If it's Tuesday Thursday, 4:30 would work. 

 If we need to split into a varsity/junior practice day and a sophomore/freshman day, we can do that. 

These plans are approved.  Universal precautions for all sports, our non-negotiables:

1.       All athletes return the release of liability form prior to the first practice.

2.      All athletes/coaches complete the daily attestation prior to practice. 

3.      All athletes/coaches take a daily temperature check. 

Most important!  Our board met with Dr. Unthank last night.  She was excited to see our student-athletes back out on the field/courts.  She emphasized the importance of the TEAM/Families to follow the DOH guidance (mask, social distancing, good hygiene, etc.) both on and off the court/field.  Because sports, in general, are higher-risk activities, if a team experiences a COVID positive it is likely the whole team will be quarantined.  The coaches need to teach these concepts AND expect their athletes to act in a responsible manner with regards to these prevention practices.
